◆Overview
The recommended Unity Editor version for RPG Maker UNITE has been updated.
The recommended Unity Editor version has been changed from the current 2021.3.16f1 to 2022.3.62f3.
◆Background
Two years have passed since our initial release, and because the following issues cannot be resolved with any version of Unity 2021, we have changed the recommended version to Unity 2022.
- An issue related to security vulnerabilities in all applications built with Unity 2021 has been announced by Unity, which they cannot resolve. - Security Update Advisory Note: The vulnerability only affects applications for Windows, Mac, and Android that have been exported from Unity.
- An issue with Android applications for Google Play cannot be resolved due to Google’s API requirements, as per: - Target API level requirements for Google Play apps - Play Console Help - Support 16 KB page sizes | Compatibility | Android Developers Note: Resolving this issue requires specialized technical knowledge.
